Pilgrimage Itinerary
Day 1/
Early morning check-in at Dublin airport for flight to Brussels. Coach transfer to Banneux and check into accommodation for 1 night, dinner, bed & breakfast. Afternoon Mass, visit the Marian shrine, where Our Blessed Lady appeared to little Mariette Beco 8 times during 1933 as the Virgin of the Poor. See the Apparition Chapel and the Beco home. Walk by the mosaic stones on the road to the Spring, for the traditional washing of the hands.~~
Day2 /
Morning drive to Beauraing, where Our Blessed Lady - Virgin of the Golden Heart appeared to 3 children 33 times from November 1932 to January 1933. Mass at the shrine and Rosary at the Hawthorn Bush - one of the Apparition sites. Mid-afternoon depart for Messines for 1 night, dinner, bed & breakfast. ~~
Day 3 /
Morning at the Irish Peace Park. Here, we remember all the Irish Soldiers who died, were wounded, or missing in the First World War. See the Round Tower, the Record Books, the Memorial Pillars, the Stone Tablets, and read the Peace Pledge. Continue to nearby Ypres, where we see the great Celtic Cross dedicated to the Royal Munster Fusiliers, and the Menin Gate Memorial - commemorating the 54,000 men whose graves are not known. Late afternoon drive to Paris for 2 nights, dinner, bed & breakfast.~~
Day 4 /
Day in Paris. Our city panoramic sightseeing tour includes: Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomoh, Champs Elysees, Opera House, Louvre Museum, and Les Invalides. Visit the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal for Mass, and nearby visit the shrine of St Vincent de Paul. Visit Notre Dame Cathedral and the Sacra Couer Basilica. Evening OPTIONAL cruise on the River Seine (Under the Bridges of Paris).~~
Day 5 /
Morning drive to Lisieux and visit Places associated with St Theresa - Les Buissonnets, the Carmel, and the Great Basilica (Mass). Afternoon drive to Honfleur, Normandy,for 3 nights, dinner, bed & breakfast.~~
Day 6 /
Full day to relax and enjoy this beautiful and popular sea-side resort.~~
Day 7 /
Day trip to Bayeux - city of the famous Tapestries. See the War Memorials, visit the nearby War Cemeteries and the Landing Beaches around Arromanches.~~
Day 8/
Free in Honfleur until transfer to airport for return evening flight to Dublin~~
