Poland and Divine Mercy Pilgrimages
Our pilgrimages to Poland and the Churches of Eastern Europe take us to some of the most beautiful cities in the world. Poland is a country with strong Catholic tradition. It is home to many religious icons such as St. Faustina, St. Maxmillian Kolbe and of course Pope John Paul II. In addition to exploring Krakow we will also visit Czestochowa, the site of a Marian apparition. Sample some of the best architecture, heritage and culture in the imperial cities of Prague, Budapest and Vienna as well as stopping off in the town of Gyor, halfway between Budapest and Vienna. In Prague see the well preserved Baroque and Gothic buildings. Vienna is the home of the grand Opera House and Schonbrunn Palace. In Budapest, a city with a colourful and exciting cultural life, sample the old cobbled quarter of Buda. The wide avenues and famous monuments in nearby Pest.

- Our Churches of Eastern Europe programme will take in many cities as well as travelling to different countries to explore the churches, basilicas and other historical monuments. - Krakow & Czestochowa - Poland
- In Czestochowa we will visit the monastery, the basilica and the shrine of the Black Madonna. Drive to Wadowice, the birthplace of Pope John-Paul II and see his house, which is now a museum. Our tour of Krakow includes Wawel Hill, Royal Chambers, the cathedral, the Jagellonian University and market square. We take a full day tour to Lagiewniki which is known as the capital of the Devine Mercy and visit the tomb of St. Faustina. Take a day trip the notorious concentration camp at Auschwitz where many people died. At Wieliczka we visit the saltmines. In Zakopane in the Tatra mountains visit the shrine to Our Lady of Fatima.
- Prague - Czech Republic
- In Prague we will visit the Church of Our Lady of Victory, located in Lesser town. The church holds the renowned statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague. Thousands of people travel from all over the world to venerate this statue. Many people who have prayed in front of the statue have had their prayers answered and many miraculous healings have been reported. Whilst in Prague we will also visit the Strahov Monastery, cathedral, Charles Bridge and the Old Town.
- Vienna - Austria
- Moving on to Vienna, the capital of Austria, we see the monuments, museums, palaces and gardens. Home to musical legends such as Mozart, Beethoven, Strauss and Vienna Boys Choir. We take a trip to see Stephensplatz, Rathausplatz, Ringstrasse, Hunderwasserhaus and Schonbrunn Palace.
- Gyor & Budapest - Hungary
- Located in Northern Hungary is the town of Gyor. It is here we visit the shrine of the Irish Madonna on display in the cathedral and we hear the story of Galway Bishop Walter Lynch and how the icon came to Hungary. In Budapest on the beautiful Blue Danube we see the museums and monuments of Castle Hill, Mary Magdalene Tower, Fishermans Bastion, Royal Palace and Matthias Well.
