Pilgrimage Itinerary
Day 1./
Depart Dublin airport to Lisbon. Meet Marian Pilgrimages Guide and drive into Lisbon for Mass at the Church and birthplace of St Anthony. Our panoramic tour of the city highlights of Lisbon includes : Jeronimos Monastery, the Belem Tower, Monument to the Discoveries, Commercial Square, and Edward VII Park. Afternoon stop at Santarem and visit the church of the Eucharistic Miracle, en route to Fatima. Check into the Santo Amaro Hotel for 4 nights on full board.~~
Day 2./
Morning orientation tour of the shrine at the Esplanade. Mass in the Capelinho - Chapel of Apparitions - at Cova da Iria, visit the Basilica of the Rosary and see the tombs of Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia, see the big Holmoak, the Monument to the Sacred Heart & Spring, the Berlin Wall, and the High Cross. Lunch. Afternoon visit the Chapel of the Trinity, the Perpetual Adoration chapel, and the Museum. Dinner. Evening Rosary and Candlelight Procession at the Capelinho.~~
Day 3./
Morning walk the Hungarian Way of the Cross via Valinhos to the Calvary. See Loca do Anjo, the Well in Lucia's garden,
and visit the homes of the little Shepherds in Aljustrel. Visit the Parish Church for Mass, on return to Fatima. Lunch.
Afternoon free in Fatima. Dinner at hotel followed by Rosary & Candlelight Procession.~~
Day 4./
This morning we attend the special Sunday celebrations with Mass at the outdoor Altar on the Esplanade.
This is followed by a Procession, and the Adeus Farewell (bring a white handkerchief).
Lunch. Afternoon free in Fatima. Dinner. Evening Rosary & Candlelight Procession. ~~
Day 5./
Morning drive to Salamanca. Visit the Cathedral for Mass and see the old Irish College.
Afternoon drive to Garabandal and check into Hotel Garabandal for 2 nights on full board.~~
Day 6./
Full day in Garabandal. Mass in the village church. See the homes of the visionaries, and the village wash-house.
Walk the Way of the Cross to the Pines, where Our Blessed Lady is said to have appeared to the children.
See the Apparition site of the Angel on the way.~~
Day 7./
Final pilgrimage Mass in the village church.
Transfer to Santander airport for return flight to Dublin.~~
*It is our intention to follow the itinerary as outlined above, however due to many factors like local holidays, traffic or weather conditions it may be necessary to make changes to the order of events or even the cancelation of certain events.
