Proposed Pilgrimage Itinerary *
Holy Year 2025: Centenary of the Canonization of Saint Th�r�se
From January 4 to Christmas, the Sanctuary of Lisieux will experience a new great Teresian year in 2025, marked by the 100th anniversary of the canonization of Saint Th�r�se, rich in spiritual and cultural events
Day 1 - Tuesday, 10th June 2025: Dublin to Paris
Depart in the morning from Dublin Airport for your flight to Paris. Upon arrival, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour of Paris, including stops at the Trocadero for views of the Eiffel Tower and visits to Les Invalides and the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal on Rue du Bac, where St.
Catherine Labour� had her visions of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Celebrate Holy Mass at the Shrine of St. Vincent de Paul. Transfer to the hotel to check-in and relax before dinner.
Day 2 - Wednesday, 11th June 2025: Exploring Paris
After breakfast, continue your tour of Paris, visiting iconic landmarks such as the Arc de Triomphe, Champs �lys�es, and
other highlights. In the afternoon, head to Montmartre to visit the Sacr�-C�ur Basilica. Celebrate Holy Mass at Sacr�C�ur, a basilica dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Afterward, explore the Montmartre area and optionally ascend to the dome for panoramic views of Paris. Return to the hotel for dinner and over night.
Day 3 - Thursday, 12th June 2025: Paris to Lisieux
After breakfast, depart Paris and travel to Lisieux, the home of St. Th�r�se. Upon arrival, visit Les Buissonnets, where St.Th�r�se spent her childhood, and the Basilica of St. Th�r�se, one of the largest basilicas in France, built in her honor. Celebrate Holy Mass at the Basilica. In the afternoon, visit the Carmelite Convent where St. Th�r�se lived and the chapel
where she is buried. The focus of this day will be reflecting on her life as we mark the centenary of her canonization. End the day with dinner and an overnight stay in Lisieux.
Day 4 - Friday, 13th June 2025: Celebrating the Centenary of St. Th�r�se's Canonization
Begin the day with morning Holy Mass at the Basilica of St. Th�r�se, part of the celebrations for the centenary of her canonization. Spend the rest of the day following in her footsteps, visiting key locations such as the St. Th�r�se Museum and other significant places that played a role in her spiritual journey. Participate in spiritual activities and take time for
personal prayer. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Lisieux.
Day 5 - Saturday, 14th June 2025: Rouen & St. Joan of Arc
After breakfast, depart from Lisieux for a day trip to Rouen, known for its connection to St. Joan of Arc. Upon arrival, visit the Historial Jeanne d'Arc, a museum dedicated to her life and trial. You will also visit the Church of St. Joan of Arc, which stands on the site where she was martyred. The modern church, built in her honour, features stunning stained
glass windows salvaged from a previous church destroyed during World War II. Continue to the Rouen Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, and see the Gros-Horloge, the city's iconic astronomical clock. Afterward, enjoy some free time for lunch and exploration in the historic old town, filled with half-timbered houses and charming streets. In the afternoon, celebrate Holy Mass at a local church in Rouen before returning to Lisieux for dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 6 - Sunday, 15th June 2025: Honfleur & Depart
Morning Mass in Lisieux before continuing to Honfleur a city in northern France's Normandy region. It's on the estuary where the Seine River meets the English Channel. The Vieux-Bassin (old harbour), lined with 16th- to 18th-century townhouses, has been a subject for artists including Claude Monet and native son Eug�ne Boudin. Nearby is 15th-century St. Catherine's Church, a vaulted timber structure erected by shipbuilders, Free time in this lovely fishing town with lovely walks along the harbour. Mid-afternoon depart for Beauvais airport for flight back to Dublin.
