Proposed Itinerary
Diocese of Kilmore Proposed Jubilee Year Pilgrimage to Rome
Monday, 24th November
- Visit to the Colosseum
- Visit to the Shrines of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Church of S. Alfonso Liguori and Basilica of St. Anthony
- Visit to Basilica of San Clemente and Scavi
of Padua
- Afternoon Mass at the Basilica of St. Mary Major's
Tuesday, 25th November
- Mass at the Church of San Pietro in Montorio
- Visit to Trastevere
- Visit to Vatican Gardens & Sistine Chapel
A new system has been introduced making the transfer between St. Peter's Basilica and Sistine Chapel
quite time consuming and perhaps too tight to comfortably do St. Peter's Basilica and Sistine
Chapel/Vatican Gardens in the same day, especially with a group of 50+ pilgrims. I have been advised by
local guides and ground handlers to split such visits over two days but will further investigate the situation.
Wednesday, 26th November
- Mass at Santuario della Madonna del Divino Amore
- Drive to Fiumicino airport for return flight to Dublin
*It is our intention to follow the itinerary as outlined above, however due to many factors like local holidays, traffic or weather conditions it may be necessary to make changes to the order of events or even the cancelation of certain events.
