Pilgrimage Itinerary
Day 1/
Check-in at Dublin airport for Aer Lingus flight to Madrid. On arrival, transfer to your hotel and check into hotel in Madrid for 4 nights, dinner, bed & breakfast. Our afternoon city panoramic sightseeing tour includes: The Cathedral, Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, Gran Via Street, City Hall, Puerto de Alacala, Puerto del Sol, Church of St Isidore, and the Las Ventos Bullring. Hotel Asset Torrejon.

Day 2/
Morning visit to the historical city of Alcala - a UNESCO world heritage site. Continue to the foundation of St Teresa at Pastrana. See the Ducal Palace, and the Stone Church overlooking the town. Drive to Villaneuva de la Jara and visit the foundation, and the house of St Anthony. Return to Madrid for dinner.

Day 3/
Morning drive to Toledo and visit the foundation of St Teresa. See City Hall, Gothic Cathedral, Galiana Palace, Cambron Gate and the Alcantara Roman Bridge. Afternoon drive to the foundation at Malagon. Return to Madrid for dinner.

Day 4/
Morning visit the tombs of the Kings at Valle de los Caidos, and the foundation at Segovia. Afternoon visit the foundation at Soria. Return to Madrid for dinner.

Day 5/
Morning visit to the foundation at Medina del Campo. See also the Castle La Mota, Royal Palace, and the Town Hall. Drive to Alba de Tormes where St Teresa died, see her tomb, and celebrate Mass here. Continue to Salamanca for overnight, dinner, bed & breakfast. Hotel Regio

Day 6/
See the Old & New Cathedrals, Monterrey Palace, Old Irish College, City Hall & Plaza Mayor, Casa de Santa Teresa - where she stayed in 1570 & founded a convent. Afternoon drive to Avila for 2 nights, dinner, bed & breakfast. Hotel Complejo El Carrascal.

Day 7/
Feast day of St Teresa of Avila. Full day in Avila, where we see the birthplace of St Teresa, the Cathedral, Basilica of St Vincent, Church of St Teresa, the Plaza, and the mighty walls surrounding the town.

Day 8/
Drive to Valladollid and visit the foundation, followed by visit to the foundation in Palencia, where we also see the Cathedral, Provincials Palace and the Monument to Christ. Continue to Burgos for 1 night, dinner, bed & breakfast. Hotel Camino de Santiago.

Day 9/
Visit the Cathedral to see the tomb of El Cid, the Golden Staircase and the Miraculous flexible Crucifix.
Visit the foundation of St Teresa in Burgos. Midday depart for Bilbao airport for Aer Lingus flight to Dublin.
