After morning Mass, we will enjoy an introductory tour of the sanctuary. See the Statue of the Sacred Heart and water fountain, the Capelhina and Rosary Basilica. We will visit the Basilica of the Holy Trinity in the afternoon and have time for private prayer. After dinner we will have Rosary and participate in the Candlelight procession. Day 4 – Trip to Santarem

This morning there will travel to the city of Santarem where we will visit the Church of St Stephen also known as the Church of the Eucharistic Miracle. There we will celebrate Holy Mass and venerate the host that miraculously bled in the year 1247 as the result of being treated with disrespect. Afterwards there may be a little time for leisure before returning to Fatima for lunch. In the afternoon spend some free time visiting the tombs of the shepherds or spend a while in the museum of light and peace where you can see the bullet in the Crown of Our Lady and the Irish Monstrance. After dinner there will be rosary at the Capelinha followed by Candlelight Procession.

Day 5 – Museum

This morning we will have Mass which will include the Sacrament of the Sick. Afterwards we will visit the Museum before returning to our hotel for lunch. An afternoon at leisure will allow time for private prayer and after dinner we will pray the Rosary and participate in the Candlelight procession.

Day 6 – Optional Trip to Nazare

After breakfast we will meet in the sanctuary where we will have Holy Mass in a private chapel for our group. Then some free time to shop or spend some time in private prayer. After early lunch there will be an optional trip the seaside town of Nazare. Here we will first stop at Sitio on the cliffs and go to the Church of Our Lady of Nazare to visit the ancient statue of Our Lady dated back to the early days of Christianity that legend tells us may have been carved by St. Joseph. Afterwards we will drive down to the promenade where there will be some time to browse in the shops or sit and have coffee or some fresh sardines for which Nazare is famous. Return to hotel in Fatima in time for dinner and then attend the Rosary and Candlelight procession.

Day 7 - Hungarian Way of the Cross

This morning after breakfast we will depart the hotel on foot to walk the Hungarian Way of the Cross (a gift from the Hungarian People). As we walk through the olive groves on the path the three shepherd children would have taken many times on their way to the Cova D’Iria we pray the stations of the cross. We finish at the beautiful little Chapel of Saint Stephen where we can spend a short while in prayer and climb the steps to the Calvary on the roof of the chapel from where there is a beautiful view taking in Aljustrel, Fatima Parish Church and the Rosary Basilica. Return to the hotel for lunch. The afternoon will be free to stroll through the town or visit some of the museums and exhibitions or return to the village of Aljustrel by tourist train to enjoy its peaceful ambience. Dinner in the hotel before Rosary and Candlelight procession in the sanctuary.

Day 8 - Holy Relic of St. Brigid

Free morning in Fatima to finish packing or return to your favourite places in the sanctuary before lunch. After lunch we will check out of the hotel and travel to Lisbon. In the suburb of Lumiar in Lisbon we will stop at the Church of St. John the Baptist where we will see the reliquary which hous-es the skull of our own dear St. Brigid.

In 1276 the Bishop of Lisbon decided to build a church at Luimar and he placed it under the patron-age of nuns at Odivilelas. When King Dinis of Portugal heard that three Irish knights were bringing St. Brigid's head to Portugal, he wanted to have it preserved in the convent of Odivelas, but it was placed in the church at Lumiar, where it remains to this day.The three faithful knights remained with the Holy Relic for the rest of their days, and when they died they were interred in tombs let into the wall of St. Brigid's chapel. The inscription reads: Here in these three tombs lie the three Irish knights who brought the head of St. Brigid, Virgin, a native of Ireland, whose relic is preserved in this chapel. In memory of which, the officials of the Table of the same Saint caused this to be done in January A.D. 1283.

Here celebrate Holy Mass before proceeding to Lisbon airport for our return flight.

*It is our intention to follow the itinerary as outlined above, however due to many factors like local holidays, traffic or weather conditions it may be necessary to make changes to the order of events or even the cancelation of certain events.
