Day 1 - Wednesday, 1 October
Check in at Dublin Airport for our flight to Mexico City via Amsterdam. Upon arrival in Mexico we will meet our coach and
guide and transfer to the Hotel Casa Blanca Mexico City where we will check in and enjoy dinner before retiring for the
night.
Day 2 - Thursday, 2 October
After breakfast we'll depart via the Plaza of three cultures in Tlatelolco to see the Church of St. James where St. Juan
Diego presented the "tilma" of Our Lady to the Bishop as proof of her apparitions. We continue to the Shrine of Our Lady
of Guadalupe built in response to Our Lady's request to the visionary, St. Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin. Here we have a full
tour of the Shrine visiting the Old and the New Basilica, view the Pocitos chapel and the Tepeyac Hill and take the opportunity
join other pilgrims kneeling before the "Tilma", where Our Lady's image was miraculously imprinted. We'll celebrate mass
in one of the chapels before lunch and afterwards enjoy some free time before returning to the hotel.
Day 3 - Friday, 3 October
Full day in Mexico City. We explore magnificent city centre built on top of the ruins of the Aztec capital city. We stop at
the Zocalo (main square), view the Palacio National, celebrate Mass in Downtown and drive along famous Paseo de la Reforma.
Afternoon some free time for leisure. Return to our hotel.
Day 4 - Saturday, 4 October
After breakfast we'll celebrate Mass before travelling to Teotihuacan a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest
American Pyramids, the pyramid of the Sun and the Moon as well as the Pyramid of the "Feathered Dragon", ranked
among the biggest in the world. After lunch, we'll visit a tequila factory where we will get to try some of this famous
Mexican drink. Return to the hotel.
Day 5 - Sunday, 5 October
Morning Mass at the Church of the Holy Family, where the remains of the martyred Miguel Pro are found. We'll continue
visiting the Floating Gardens of Mexico, Xochimilco, where you will climb aboard a decorated gondola and float through
the flower-laden canals. Continue to the Coyoacan neighbourhood for lunch at leisure and a tour around the quaint streets
of this captivating neighbourhood.
Day 6 - Monday, 6 October
After breakfast we depart to the city pf Angels, Puebla. Before arriving, we visit the small town of Cholula and it's Indian
baroque church of Tonantzintla and Cholula Church constructed on the top of Great Pyramid. Continue to Downtown
Puebla for checking into the hotel and leisure time.
Day 7 - Tuesday, 7 October
We start the day with a tour to the old city, the Cathedral, Dominican Cloister and the Rosary Chapel. Continue to Tlaxcala
and the Shrine of San Miguel del Milagro. Celebrate Mass at the site where St. Michael the Archangel appeared to Diego
Lazaro in 1631 directing him to the Grotto and to a well of miraculous waters. See the image of Our Lady of Ocotlan burnt
into a tree trunk after she appeared to Diego Bernardino in 1531. Perfectly preserved, the image in a tree resides in the
Basilica of Our Lady of Ocotlan. Dinner and overnight in Puebla.
Day 8 - Wednesday, 8 October
After breakfast we depart back to Mexico City where we'll enjoy a farewell Mass at the Basilica of our Lady of Guadalupe.
After Mass take some free time for personal reflection and prayer before checking back into the Hotel Casa Blanca were we will have our farewell dinner.
Day 9 - Thursday, 9 October
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel and take some free time before our transfer to the airport for our return flight to Dublin via
Amsterdam.
Day 10 - Friday, 10 October
Depart Amsterdam for Dublin.
