Hotel Astrid
The 4 star Hotel Astrid is an ideal base thanks to its excellent location. Located just a stone's throw from the Sanctuary, it is situated approximately 50m from the entrance to St. Joseph's gate. The Astrid was completely refurbished and re-opened in August 2012. The hotel has received fantastic reviews in the short time that it has been open. Day 1: Friday, 30th May 2025 - Depart for Lourdes

Depart from Cork on a morning flight to Lourdes. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Lourdes for check-in. After settling in, enjoy lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, take part in an introductory walking tour of Lourdes, visiting key sites such as the Sanctuary of Our Lady, the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, and the Grotto where Our Lady appeared to St. Bernadette. Attend the Blessed Sacrament Procession in the evening. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 2: Saturday, 31st May 2025 - Lourdes and Spiritual Activities

Begin your day with Mass at the Grotto of the Apparitions, a serene and holy experience. After breakfast, visit significant sites associated with St. Bernadette, including the Boly Mill, Cachot, and her family home. After lunch at the hotel, take time for personal reflection or explore the peaceful Sanctuary gardens. In the evening, join the Torchlight Procession, a moving and spiritual experience. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 3: Sunday, 1st June 2025 - Pilgrimage Activities in Lourdes

Celebrate Sunday Mass at one of the basilicas. After breakfast, walk the Stations of the Cross, following the footsteps of Christ on a hillside overlooking Lourdes. Enjoy lunch at your hotel, followed by free time for personal prayer, shopping, or visiting the underground Basilica of St. Pius X. Dinner at the hotel, followed by the Torchlight Procession. Overnight stay in Lourdes.

Day 4: Monday, 2nd June 2025 - Final Day in Lourdes

After breakfast, attend a Farewell Mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary. Spend the rest of the morning visiting any sites you may have missed or taking time for quiet reflection. In the afternoon, take part in the Blessed Sacrament Procession and enjoy your last evening in Lourdes with dinner at the hotel.

Day 5: Monday, 2nd June 2025 - Final Day in Lourdes

Depart from Lourdes at 8:00 AM and enjoy the scenic drive to Carcassonne, which will take approximately two and a half hours. Upon arrival at 10:30 AM, explore the historic Cit� de Carcassonne, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll through the medieval streets, visit the impressive Ch�teau Comtal, and admire the Basilica of Saints Nazarius and Celsus, a stunning blend of Romanesque and Gothic architecture. At 12:30 PM, savor lunch at a charming bistro within the fortified city. Indulge in the local specialty, Cassoulet, paired with a regional wine for a true taste of Occitanie. After lunch, take some time for a final walk around the picturesque gardens and quaint shops within the cit�. Depart Carcassonne at 2:00 PM, ensuring you reach the airport by 3:30 PM for your onward journey.
