Day 1 - Friday 19 March | Depart Dublin
Check in at Dublin Airport for your flight to Porto. On arrival, you will be met by your local guide and transferred by coach to the coastal city of Vigo. Your accommodation for the next four nights will be the 4-star Hotel Hesperia Vigo, where you will enjoy comfortable accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2 - Saturday 20 March | Tui to Redondela
Walk approx. 31.9km
After breakfast, begin your Camino experience with a scenic stage from the historic border town of Tui to Redondela. While this is one of the longer walking days, the route rewards pilgrims with beautiful scenery and a fascinating glimpse into Galician life. Much of today's path passes through urbanised areas, though recent improvements have created a more pleasant alternative through the As Gndaras Natural Area and along the peaceful Louro River, bypassing the industrial park of O Porrio. The day's main climb is the gentle ascent to the Chapel of Santiaguio in Mos, where the route rises approximately 147 metres over 3 kilometres. At the end of the walk, your coach will return you to your hotel in Vigo. Tonight we will gather with the group for a welcome dinner at the hotel before retiring for the night.

Day 3 - Sunday 21 March | Redondela to Pontevedra
Walk approx. 19.8km
Today's stage offers a more relaxed pace as the Camino continues through charming Galician landscapes. Walking towards Redondela, known as the Village of the Viaducts, you will see the impressive 19th-century railway viaducts that dominate the skyline. Along the way, enjoy beautiful views over the Bay of Vigo, famously referenced in Jules Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. Take time to soak in the atmosphere of this historic pilgrimage route before your coach transfer back to the hotel in Vigo.

Day 4 - Monday 22 March | Pontevedra to Caldas de Reis
Walk approx. 21.1km
Depart the elegant city of Pontevedra this morning as the Camino leads you back into the tranquil Galician countryside. Today's stage is relatively long but mostly flat, passing through woodland, rural villages, and peaceful farmland. Upon arrival in Caldas de Reis, a town renowned for its thermal springs since Roman times, you may wish to relax and soothe tired muscles at one of the local spas. Return to your hotel by coach this evening.

Day 5 - Tuesday 23 March | Caldas de Reis to Padrn
Walk approx. 18.6km
Today's walk brings a wonderful variety of scenery as the Camino winds through fertile valleys, vineyards, and forests of chestnut and eucalyptus. Your destination is the historic town of Padrn, closely linked to the legend of St. James. According to tradition, this is where the remains of the Apostle were first brought ashore following his martyrdom in Jerusalem. While here, be sure to try the town's famous culinary speciality Padrn peppers, small green peppers traditionally served fried with sea salt.

Day 6 - Wednesday 24 March | Padrn to Santiago de Compostela
Walk approx. 24.4km
Today marks the final stage of your Camino journey. The route begins with a walk towards Iria Flavia, before gradually climbing towards O Milladoiro. From here you will reach Agro dos Monteiros, the highest point of the Camino Portugus in Galicia, where pilgrims are rewarded with their first breathtaking view of Santiago de Compostela and the towers of its magnificent cathedral. Continue into the historic city centre and walk the final steps of the Camino to the magnificent Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the Christian world.

Day 7 - Thursday 25 March | Santiago de Compostela
After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely day exploring the beautiful city of Santiago de Compostela. You may wish to attend the Pilgrims' Mass at the Cathedral, a moving experience that celebrates the journeys of pilgrims who have arrived from across the world. On special occasions, visitors may witness the dramatic swinging of the famous Botafumeiro, the cathedral's enormous incense burner. Take time to visit the Tomb of St. James, admire the remarkable architecture of the cathedral, and wander through Santiago's charming cobbled streets filled with cafs, shops, and historic squares. This evening, gather with the group for a farewell dinner, celebrating the completion of your Camino pilgrimage.

Day 8 - Friday 26 March | Return Home
After breakfast, enjoy some free time for a final stroll through the historic centre of Santiago. Perhaps visit Praza do Obradoiro, the grand square in front of the cathedral, or browse the local shops and cafs. Later, transfer to Porto airport for your return flight home, bringing with you unforgettable memories of your Camino journey.

For those who do not wish to walk the full route, a selection of short walks (between 2.5km and 11km) will be available for each walk day. This can allow those who might not be able for the full exertion to get a good feel for the Camino.

It is advised that people wishing to partake in this walking pilgrimage consult their doctor on their fitness to take part before booking. Each walk day will consist of 5 - 8 hrs of moderately difficult walking with uneven and rough terrain in parts.
