Thursday 19th May
Munich Tour
Check in at Dublin airport for Aer Lingus flight to Munich, departing at 07:15, and arriving in Munich at 10:45. We will take our transfer from Munich airport into the centre of the city and meet our guide for guided tour of Germany's �Secret Capital�, exploring the enchanting Old Town squares and hearing the city's history. During a walking tour, you'll learn about landmarks such as the Glockenspiel, Munich Hofbr�uhaus, and the Royal Residence, and hear tales of wartime history. Find out fun facts about the beer purity law and the annual Oktoberfest, and enjoy photo stops aplenty as you walk your way around the city. After lunch we will transfer to the 4 Hotel an der Oper (or similar) to check in for the night on a Bed & Breakfast basis.
This evening enjoy the wonderful sights, sounds and tastes of The Old Town of Munich (Altstadt M�nchen) which is part of and the historical centre of Munich, included in the list of Bavarian historical monuments.
Friday 20th May
Oberammergau Passion Play
Morning departure for Oberammergau and check into our hotel for 1 night, which includes dinner and Category 1 Tickets for the Passion Play.
This morning is free to explore the lovely village of Oberammergau and visit the Museum & celebrate Mass at a local church. Enjoy some time to explore Oberammergau's colourful frescos known as �Luftlmalereien� on house facades and to visit wood carving shops with amazing array of nativity scenes and religious figures. Following lunch, we will make our way to the world famous theatre to attend the performance of a lifetime, the 42nd Oberammergau Passion Play. The sleepy village springs to life every ten years to put on a play that draws the world upon it! We, too, will become part of mission of the Passion of Christ, the greatest story ever told. We all share His message of faith and love!
Oberammergau Passion Play
The Oberammergau Passion Play tells the story of the Passion of Christ, beginning with His entry into Jerusalem, followed by His trial, crucifixion, resurrection and ascension. The play is held in a beautiful open air theatre that is praised for its superb acoustics. There are 2,000 actors (and live animals), they include local wood carvers, hotel owners, students, teachers, children, all of them interrupt their schedules to become actors, singers, orchestra members and stagehands. Requirements are strict: all actors must be born in Oberammergau, or have lived there 20 years, or be married to a villager and a resident for 10 years. All natural makeup, such as men let their hair and beards grow a year before the play. Female roles are limited to single women under age 35.
The Play is approximately five and a half hours long and is performed in two acts.
Act I : 2:30pm - 5:00pm
Intermission: 5:30pm - 7:30pm; enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
Act II: 8:00pm - 10:30pm
Saturday 21st May
Oberammergau Sightseeing & Munich
This morning we have some free time to explore the town of Oberammergau and walk the quaint streets. The incredible 2,000 Oberammergau citizens are the actual actors, singers, instrumentalists and stage technicians. They are ordinary citizens who lead an everyday life. After lunch we will drive back to Munich to check into our hotel and enjoy some free time.
Sunday 22nd May

This morning & afternoon we have some free time in Munich until our transfer to Munich airport for Aer Lingus flight to Dublin departing at 20:35 and due to arrive in Dublin at 22:10
*It is our intention to follow the itinerary as outlined above, however due to many factors like local holidays, traffic or weather conditions it may be necessary to make changes to the order of events or even the cancelation of certain events.
