Pilgrimage Itinerary
Day 1/
Check in at your airport, where our local representative will be on hand to assist you. On arrival in Croatia you will be met by our team of guides and transferred to Medjugorje with a guided escort. Upon arrival in Medjugorje you will be taken to your accommodation and introduced to your host family. Light snack or dinner will be served depending on the time of arrival. ~~
Day 2/
After breakfast, Holy Mass for English speaking pilgrims is at 10.00am in the church of St. James. Following mass there will be an opening meeting and introduction at the shrine of Our Lady Queen of Peace. Hear a talk by one of the Medjugorje priests on the messages of Our Lady. Continue to the Statue of the Risen Lord for a prayer service. After dinner, participate in the evening programme. ~~
Day 3/
Meet with your guides at the statue of Our Lady to walk through the vineyards, to the Hill of Apparitions (Podbrdo). Listen to the story of the first days of the apparitions and then climb, in prayer, to the site of the first apparition. We return for dinner, followed by the evening services at 6pm.~~
Day 4/
Our guides will take us to meet with one of the visionaries, for a talk on the messages of Our Lady. There is an optional trip in the afternoon to Cenacolo, which is a community for recovering drug addicts (This is an optional trip). After dinner, meet at St. James for the evening programme. ~~
Day 5/
Climb up the Cross Mountain (Krizevac), there we will pray the Stations of the Cross as we make our way to the summit. We return for dinner, followed by the evening services at 6pm.~~
Day 6/
Hear a talk by one of the Medjugorje priests. In the afternoon we will visit the Blue Cross, at the base of Apparition Hill, a very special place of many Apparitions of Our Lady. This evening, after dinner you may take part in the evening ceremonies.~~
Day 7/
We will conduct our closing meeting on the church grounds. Following our meeting we will visit The Mothers Village. After dinner, you may participate in the evening programme. ~~
Day 8/
The coaches will collect you from your houses and depart for the airport for your return flight. Our transfers always include our own guides who will take excellent care of you.~~
*It is our intention to follow the itinerary as outlined above, however due to many factors like local holidays, traffic or weather conditions it may be necessary to make changes to the order of events or even the cancelation of certain events.
Please note that some trips are optional and don't form part of the main itinerary. Transport wont be provided, but you will be able to get your own Taxi. Please note the guides will only be present to provide a translation service at these venues. These trips included The Cenacolo Centre, the climb up the Cross Mountain (Krizevac) and Humac Franciscan Monastery.
