Sample 5 Day itinerary for the Camino de Santiago
Day 1 - Depart Dublin (Today’s walk: 8 km)
Morning check-in at Dublin airport for Marian
Pilgrimages direct flight to Tarbes. Coach
transfer to Roncesvailles for our first walk to
Espinal. Drive to Pamplona for 1 night, dinner,
bed & breakfast.
Day 2 - Estella (Today’s walk: 21 km)
Drive to Zariquiegui
for walk across the
Sierra del Perdon,
via Uterga and
Obanos to Puente
la Reina. Coach to
Estella and walk via
the free wine fountain to Azqueta.
Drive to Logrono for overnight, dinner, bed &
breakfast.
Day 3 - Santo Domingo (Today’s walk: 20 km)
Drive to Santo Domingo and visit the Cathedral
to see the tomb of StDominic andhear the legend
of the roasted cock. Walk via Granon, Redecilla,
Casteldelgado and Viloria to Belorado.
Return to our hotel in Burgos for dinner.
Day 4 - Burgos (Today’s walk: 18 km)
Visit Burgos Cathedral and see tomb of El Cid,
the Golden Stairs,and the Flexible Crucifix.
Drive to Boadilla and walk to Fromista.
Continue by the River Ucieza and Villacazar
to Carrion de los Condes. Drive to our hotel in
Leon for 1 night, dinner, bed & breakfast
Day 5 - Ponferrada
(Today’s walk: 17 km)
Drive via Astorga to Foncebadon and walk via
Cruz de Hierro to El Acebo. Drive to San Paio
and walk via Lavacolla for traditional wash
before arriving in Santiago de Compostela.
Overnight dinner, bed & breakfast
