Fatima, Garabandal & Santiago - From €895
Our trip begins with our flight from Dublin to Lisbon. Upon arrival
in Lisbon we transfer to Fatima, where we stay for 4 nights on a full
board basis. During our time in Fatima, we will celebrate Mass in
the Capelinha at Cova da Iria – where the apparitions of Our Lady to
Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia took place 100 years ago in 1917. Visit the
Basilica and see their tombs. See the Berlin Wall, the Large Holmoak,
Sacred Heart Monument and Fountain. Visit the Chapel of the Trinity,
Chapel of Adoration, Reconciliation Chapel, and see the High Cross. We will also take some time
to follow the Hungarian Way of the Cross to Calvary, and see Loca do Anjo, Valinhos and Aljustrel
– where we visit the homes of the Little Shepherds and Poco do Anjo. In the evenings we will take
part in the Evening Rosary and Candlelight Procession at the Esplanade.
In Santiago visit the Cathedral of St James – see the Portico of Glory, Jessie Tree, Master Mateo, the
tomb of St James and embrace his statue above the High Altar. Celebrate Mass in the Basilica. We
will also stop off in O’Cebreiro for Mass in the Church of the Eucharistic Miracle and see the old
thatched Pallozas in this mountain-top village.
Finally in Garabandal we celebrate Mass in the Parish Church. See the homes of the visionaries, the
village wash-house, the apparition site of St Michael, and pray the Stations of the Cross on the way
to the Pines. Here we contemplate the apparitions of Our Lady to the 4 children. Afternoon free in
Garabandal.
