Day 1 - Arrive Lisbon
Check in at your airport for your flight to Lisbon.
On arrival in Lisbon you will be met by your
guide and transferred to your accommodation.
Check in for 5 nights on a full board basis.
Depending on the time of our arrival we may
be in time for the evening Rosary and torchlight
procession.
Day 2 – Introductory walk
After an early breakfast this morning we will
walk the Hungarian Way of the Cross and stop
to say a prayer at Angel of Peace. Continue on
to Aljustrel and visit the homes of Francisco,
Jacinta, and Lucy. We visit the Parish Church
where the childrenwere baptised. Take part in an
introductory walk around the domain including
the Esplanade, Basilica, Tombs of Francisco
and Jacinta, Chapel
of
Apparitions,
A d o r a t i o n
Chapel,
Sacred
Heart Monument,
fountains and Cova
da Iria. In August
on their way to Cova
de Iria, the children were captured by the local
authorities and held in jail. The local authorities
demanded that they reveal the secrets.
However, even though they were interrogated
and threatened with death, the children refused
to disclose any information. Our Lady appeared
to the children at Valinhos, after they returned
from prison. This evening we take part in the
Rosary and candlelight procession.
Day 3 – Optional trip to Nazare
Morning
Mass.
Optional afternoon
drive to Nazare to
see shrine of Our
Lady of Nazarath.
According to oral
tradition, the holy
icon was sculpted by St. Joseph the
carpenter, in Nazareth, when Jesus was still a
baby. A few decades latter St. Luke the evangelist,
painted it. So, it may well be the most ancient
image venerated by Christians. Take some free
time in this fishing village and seaside resort.
Take part in the evening Rosary and candlelight
procession.
Day 4 – Free day in Fatima
After breakfast attend Mass. Today will be a
free day in Fatima. Perhaps we will take part in
the Jubilee itinerary in order to obtain Plenary
Indulgence. Return to our hotel for evening
meal and after dinner take part in the evening
Rosary and candlelight procession.
Day 5 – Santarem
Optional
visit
to Santarem to
venerate
the
Eucharistic Miracle
from the 13th
century (this is
one of the most visited
pilgrimage site in Portugal) Continue to Lisbon.
