Day 1 - Arrive Medjugorje
Check in at your airport, where our local
representative will be on hand to assist you.
On arrival, you will be met by our guides and
transferred to Medjugorje. Upon arrival you will
be taken to your accommodation and introduced
to your host family. Light snack or dinner will be
served depending on the time of arrival.
Day 2 - Opening Meeting
After 10:00am Mass in the church of St.
James, there will be an opening meeting and
introduction at the shrine of Our Lady Queen of
Peace. Continue to the Statue of the Risen Lord
for a prayer service. After dinner, participate in
the evening programme.
Day 3 - Hill of Apparitions
Meet at the statue of Our Lady to walk through
the vineyards, to the Hill of Apparitions
(Podbrdo). Listen to the story of the first days of
the apparitions and then climb, in prayer, to the
site of the first apparition. We return for dinner,
followed by the evening services at 6pm.
Day 4 - Optional Trip
We will meet with one of the visionaries, for
a talk on the messages. This afternoon there
is an optional tour to Cenacolo, which is a
community for recovering drug addicts. After
dinner, meet for the evening programme.
Day 5 - Cross Mountain
Climb up the Cross Mountain (Krizevac). Pray
the Stations of the Cross as we make our way
to the summit. Return to your house for dinner.
Day 6 - Blue Cross
Hear a talk by one of the Medjugorje priests.
Sample of a 7 Day itinerary to Medjugorje
The Marian Pilgrimages itinerary, devised with the pilgrims needs in mind, balances prayer
and activity in each day. The staple element in the daily programme is the evening prayer
service. After the evening meal, gather at St. James for the Rosary (Joyful and Sorrowful
Mysteries) at 6pm. It is then followed by Holy Mass at 7pm. The Glorious Mysteries and
Healing Prayers are at 8pm and on Fridays, the Veneration of the Cross is at 8pm. Tuesdays
and Saturdays at 10pm, and Thursdays at 8pm sees the Adoration of the Most Blessed
Sacrement. The time of the apparition of Our Lady is usually marked by a moment of silence
at 6.40pm. Holy Mass for English speaking pilgrims is at 10am from Monday to Saturday and
on Sundays and holidays at 12 noon.
